Adopted rule summary:
The New York City Department of Buildings (“DOB”) adopted rules that specify the structure of the special inspection agency and the qualification of the special inspector in section 101-06 of Title 1 of the Rules of the City of New York. This rule amends 1 RCNY 101-06 to align it with changes made as part of the 2022 updates to the Building Code pursuant to Local Law 126 of 2021 (“2022 Building Code”). The amendments also include editorial changes to clean up some of the existing language in the rule.
