Adopted rule summary:

The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene adopts the following rule establishing a subsidized grocery program.The Program will provide eligible New Yorkers at risk for food insecurity with money to purchase groceries through an online marketplace of local grocery stores.

    It is imperative for the ordering platform of the subsidized grocery program, (Groceries To Go Program) to be accessible to people withh visual disabilities, who use assistive technology, such as computer screenreaders, siri and voiceover on the IPhone etc.
    For those who live on their own and have mobility issues, it is imperative to have an option on the Groceries To Go Program ordering platform to alert the delivery person to bring the persons groceries to the persons apartment door.
    The Groceries To Go Program credit should be allowed to be spent on hot or cold prepared food.
