Adopted rule summary:
The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is proposing to amend Chapter 3 (“Performance Summary Cards and Penalties for Child Care Programs”) of Title 24 of the Rules of the City of New York to modify the information that will be presented on performance summary cards (PSC) issued to child care providers by the Department pursuant to Section 390-j of the New York State Social Services Law.

I suggest for the Performance Summary Cards for Child Care be emailed to parents enrolled in the program. I also recommend for them to be more conspicuous like the restaurant or building efficiency ratings.

Infants/Toddlers / 2yrs Teachers Qualifications, due to shortage of teachers.
INFANT/TODDLER TEACHERS:
– CDA and 1 year experience “OR” 3 yrs within the same Permit Program ‘OR’
2 years’ experience and a study plan leading to CDA within 2years.
All staff must have HS Diploma or GED.2-YEAR-OLD CLASSROOM:
– Associate degree in ECE and 1 year experience “OR” 2 years’ experience and a study plan leading to an Associate degree in ECE “OR” CDA and 2 years’ experience.
All staff must have HS Diploma or GED
