Adopted rule summary:

The New York City Board of Health amended Article 173 of the New York City Health Code to:
- make explicit that New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene's investigations in response to reports of children with elevated blood lead levels include inspection of any location where the child regularly spends significant time
- clarify that the Department has the authority to order abatement or remediation of lead-based paint and dust in locations occupied by children under age six, and
- extend the unsafe lead paint hazard standard to certain childcare programs attended by a child with an elevated blood lead level.
