Interior advertisement?… will we get any incentives for the use of interior advertisement or extra cash for such? Remember these vehicles belong to us & if you choose to add a universal mandatory visual acceptance to what you may believe should be promoted in our personal space. We must speak about the ability to accept or decline such advertisement that we may not align with. & receive compensations or incentives that would address our daily bills. It is only right business practice to do something in return for us!

The TLC rules only rules over the poor driver. I wish like any working community 401K & matching retirement plan is legislated. Unherd drivers suffer on all directions loss. Drivers get out to work, bringing home nothing, specially withe the Uber/Lyft Lockouts.

Specialy Uber show busy with a surging area in ride Fair, but the up is locked out, no access for the rider to get us. That the bet rule that TLC came with. 7:00 am to 9:00 is opened then 5:00 am to 7:00 pm. These 4 hours could be enough if the job is steady, but it is some times are 2 or 3 rides that is just to pay tolls & fuel that vehicle. Unless TLC come with better resolutions, crisis of drivers will effect not onlynour city, also our state & communities.
Also at the enf of ride Fair driver is only geting~ 48.5% whereas the 51.5% goes to Uber, Tax,…that is return for tje driverr. The fuel cost, the tolls when no ride, the income meeded as working class with no predicting te for work or rest. Driver starting at 6:00 am meed to continue waiting for the app to unlock at 5:00 pm instead of finish, join the family’s dinner tables!

Demostration for no lockout has mot heard yet.

    Thank,
Taxi since year 2000/Uber since 2013.

Lock out is unjust and illegal, and the waiting list is unacceptable because we are partners with Uber and Lyftn. We hope to cancel and change Tlc rules and return to how things were before. We trust TLC.

$5,000 incentive for TLC drivers who want to quit, to tackle the traffic congestion! Think about it! Less headache for people who want to drive anywhere, anytime.

And also, un-suspend giving issuing TLC license plates!

    Make it happen, David Do!!!

Chair Do and Members of the Board of Commissioners,

My name is Michael Chow, founder and CEO of Dart Technologies, a Tech:NYC startup member headquartered in Manhattan and software provider of passenger media solutions for mobility operators.

On behalf of Dart Technologies, we strongly advocate for simplification of non-core requirements to preserve flexibility for passenger experience innovation going forward.

Counter to the intent of Local Laws 33 and 56 designed to create a vibrant marketplace providing choice of licensed solutions for drivers, currently proposed rules include overly-specific technical restrictions on functionality and content (e.g. must display a prologue provided by the TLC at the start of each trip; at least 15% of the Passenger-facing device’s content will be comprised of TLC-provided content; must display reminder about the payment of a gratuity) that will likely result in no providers able to fully comply and operate innovative systems within a paradigm anchored by legacy TPEP solutions tethered to yellow taxi meters i.e. broadcasting a single linear videoloop programmatically initiated by driver starting trip via meter.

Our support for removing non-core technical requirements is rooted in firsthand experience operating our iPad-based passenger media network for independent driver partners prior to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals reversal in 2019.

We believe that prudent implementation of this legislation will lead to a win-win outcome for all stakeholders involved – promoting economic growth, technological innovation, and an improved passenger experience. Thank you Board of Commissioners for considering our perspective.

    Q. My Question to the T&LC: “Do the Rules for the Drivers” Or Drivers for the Rules ?
I don’t know what T&LC thinking about the Drivers. Is the drivers are human bin or Machine?
Last 3 months Uber/ Lyft keep sending drivers to Offline whenever Uber / Lyft wants. drivers can’t go to online to work. we all knows that, ‘No work” “No Money”. Last 2 days Aug 12 & Aug 13 2024. my Income was on Uber ($33.03 and $10.82)=$43.85 and Lyft did not allow me to go online. Drivers are not earning money But T&LC Rules. Great Jobs.
