Adopted rule summary:

The Taxi and Limousine Commission (“TLC”) is promulgating amendments to its rules that: 1) consolidate the TLC’s Critical Driver Program into the Persistent Violator Program; 2) amend insurance provisions to reflect state legislative changes; 3) reduce the amount of time in which licensees can answer a directive; and 4) clarify that a licensee must have a state-issued Chauffeur’s License in good standing and valid NYS driving privileges in order to drive for-hire.

    Uber and Lyft driver should be nys chauffeur license it from tri state New Yorker need job not people live in tristate they live another state another state owned medillion and Uber or Lyft that is unfair for New Yorker thank you

    I want to advise you guys that this is a full time job for thousands of people so always think like thousands of times before that this is a life and death issue for people.And secondly TLC police mostly give wrong tickets so it will affect our license very badly

    What is it with tlc?? Why does TLC find the need to attack the driver from every single aspect. TLC spends so much energy attacking the driver but fails to remember that if there is no
    us, THERE IS NO TLC. They love abusing the fact that there is no Union. So many issues TLC can tackle that are way more important than this, but here we are once again, the bad guys aka the Drivers.

    It feels like we are on probation every day it takes few years for a dmv summons to be adjudicated and sometimes a few months.tlc summons gets adjudicated in three months.this can drive a driver insane.from the day of conviction.i can settle a tlc summons in 30 days.the red light dmv summons from 2018 and the 4 point speeding ticket from from 2023 well you get the idea

    From the day of conviction.a tlc summons can be settled in 30 days .a dmv summons can be adjudicated in 4 years or 8 months.it feels like probation and can drive you insane.imagine if these dmv summonses accumulate even if you get a dmv summons once a year.i have being driving from 1997 and my dmv license was never suspended or revoked because dmv is very fair with it’s adjudication process.but tlc threatened me with suspension.

    It would be nice if we used a dot permit to use the bus lanes.make turn where a no turn sign except buses Is posted.no parking except authorized vehicles for upto 15 minutes etc.when we have passengers in the car.it would make life easy and reduce the chances of having our licenses suspended or revoked.this is the reason why we overcharge the customers and make illegal u-turns or drive out of the way. And we have unhappy customers.For what I mentioned above.
