The Department of Housing Preservation and Development (“HPD”) is proposing amendments to Chapter 41 of Title 28 of the Rules of the City of New York (the “Inclusionary Housing Rules”) regarding rents for Mandatory Inclusionary Housing (MIH) affordable housing units in buildings that are subject to Housing Assistance Payments Contracts and addressing issues identified as part of a comprehensive rules review initiative undertaken by the NYC Mayor’s Office of Operations, working with the City’s rulemaking agencies, the Law Department, and the Office of Management and Budget.
